1. How do I get started with asiainsurancejobs.com?
If you have an interest in starting a career in the insurance industry or are keen to make a career switch, click on the register button, found on the login area. You will be prompted to choose either Candidate or Employer. Select Candidate.
2. Is it necessary to fill in all the fields in the Candidate Registration Form?
The mandatory fields are a must, failing which you will not be able to complete the registration. It is advisable to complete all the fields, as this will be the profile that potential employers will see when they search the database.
3. Is there a membership fee involved?
No, the site is absolutely free of charge for registered candidates.
4. Under Job Profile, it seems that I have to choose from one of the fields in the drop box. What if my field of expertise does not fall into one of these categories or if I have more than one skill set?
We have endeavored to include every possible job profile within the insurance space. It is important that you choose the closest job category to allow the database engine to identify you for possible job vacancies posted by the employers. If you have more than one skill set, the system will allow you to choose more than one.
5. What formats do you accept when uploading the CV document and is there a size limitation?
We accept most Microsoft Office document formats such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and its variants, which end with .txt, .rtf, .pdf. There is no specific size limitation, but try to keep it below 2Mb. Preferred formats are Word or PDF.
Employer
1. How do I get started with asiainsurancejobs.com?
If you have an interest in starting an account with us, click on the register button, found on the login area. You will be prompted to choose either Candidate or Employer. Select Employer.
2. Who in the company should register for this account?
Only the Human Resource or Admin Manager authorized to oversee the recruitment of the employees in the company should register. Line managers should consult with them before opening an account, as there are contractual obligations that accompany the use of the site. You should only open an account directly with us if the relevant department has authorized you to open and operate an account directly with us.
3. Is there a subscription or a charge for the use of the account?
The use of the account and all its features within is absolutely free of charge. We will only charge when the actual placement of the candidate has been made.
4. How much is the placement fee?
The fee for the successful placement of a candidate is 10% subject to a income cap of SGD$100,000 per annum (inclusive of guaranteed cash bonuses and allowances). If the candidate or the role commands a salary of above SGD$100,000 per annum, the placement fee will be negotiated separately.
5. What happens when I shortlist candidates from the database?
The request will reach the backend office and the servicing consultant will contact the selected candidates to ascertain their interest in the proposed role. Only candidates who have expressed an interest will be forwarded to the client. This process becomes a manual process whereby the consultant will contact the client and follow up with the arrangement of the necessary interviews.
6. What happens when I submit a Job Description?
When you submit a Job Description, the servicing consultant will shortlist candidates on your behalf and present them for your consideration. The process beyond this will be off-line, as you will be assigned a consultant who will service your requirements accordingly.
7. Can I contact the candidates directly?
No. You will only be able to see a basic profile highlighting the candidates experience and ability. We value the privacy of our candidates and as such, their identities will only be revealed to you when they have expressed an interest in applying for the role.
